Toby Keller lives in and photography Santa Barbra, California. Toby has been working with light painting techniques using LED's, EL wires and black lights to create light trails on some of his photographs. The long exposure and light trails combine to present the viewer with ethereal, surreal feelings.
The images Toby Keller takes encompass his light painting series of long exposure photographs. They were made by the light of the moon and featured traces of light created by various small powered light sources moving across the image plane.
Toby Keller said he likes doing this because he started taking long exposure pictures and working on with light painting as an experiment. He used many different lighrs to get the effects he needed. He has made an album called 'Burnblue' which has all his light paintings in. He said it gives viewers surreal feelings and I think this is why he enjoys doing it.
